Welcome to Highmead

Highmead is a long established Bed and Breakfast overlooking the sea and located on the beautiful Gower peninsula in South Wales. The Gower peninsula was recognised as a very special place many years ago and was the first location in Britain to receive the 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' status in 1956. Largely a limestone cliff land with great walks and wonderful sandy beaches providing a great place to take a break, be it a weekend, or a longer holiday.

In such beautiful surroundings we seek to provide a very warm welcome and a friendly 'home from home' atmosphere with comfortable accommodation and stunning views of the sea and coastline. We have lived in Gower for many years and yet have travelled to many other continents too. To us, Gower still remains unique against the wider world and we would love to share this with you, and offer ideas for your holiday time here.
